Lead-Free and Aroma-Free Products
Researches show that the synthetic paints comprising aromatic solvent and lead, cause significant damages through accumulating in the human body. It is claimed that the accumulation of aromatic solvent causes cancer, nervous system problems and abortions at the advanced cases and accumulation of lead causes major damages to the nervous system, development of the metobolism and reproductive system.
Those who are most affected by lead are the occupational groups exposing to lead-containing substances. Painters head the list of these groups. Lead also constitutes a threat to those living in these locations, especially the children, due to their developing nervous systems which can be more sensitive to lead poisoning than adults.
European paint industry has been carrying out studies on the production of synthetic aromatic paints as solvent-free and lead-free for the last two years and developing products to this effect. Today, there are legal restrictions introduced related to use of synthetic paints involving aromatic solvent and lead.

Environmentally Friendly Products Complying European Community (EC) Standards
‘Betek A.Ş.’ has already adopted the environmental protection and environmental health standards emphasized by EC.
